Calling all dog owners, are you a blood donor? Would you like you dog to be one too? Penmellyn vets often require blood donations for seriously ill pets.
If you feel your canine companion can help, please follow the link below!
These doggie donors literally are lifesavers!
Canine Blood Donors must meet the following criteria:
– must be over 25kg
– aged between 1-8 years old
– never travelled abroad
– fully up to date with vaccinations
– be fit and healthy and not on any medications
– be of a friendly, calm temperament!
If you would be interested in blood donation please contact Jade Pascoe on 01637 880307 or e-mail email@example.com for further information.
Do they have to be over 25kg? I have a healthy young cocker but he's only 13 kg
Dogs over 25kg will be large enough to donate blood to most other size dogs.
However, smaller dogs are suitable for donating blood to dogs of a similar size to themselves.
So, they don’t have to be over 25kg but there will be a smaller number of patients that they can donate for.
Hiya, I’m Layla and I had my second birthday recently…I’d never have made it this far without you guys, as I had parvovirus at 10 weeks old, but I’m very much better now!
Thank you xxx
